Our three partners are:
Mark Ringrose

Mark (seen here in negotiations with a local HMRC Inspector) is a Chartered Accountant with almost thirty years’ experience. He started training in 1984 and qualified in 1987. After about three years working in industry for a local manufacturer, he set up his own practice in 1991.
He believes passionately in looking at a client’s whole situation. As he says, it is not just about getting the accounts and tax calculations mathematically correct – although that is important, of course. It is about looking at ways to make a client better off overall. This might indeed be a matter of costs savings but sometimes it is about removing business headaches, so people can sleep better. It is very important for Farrar Smith to be seen as adding value to a business and not simply being part of the overhead.
Julie Konczyk

Julie Konczyk is both a fellow of the Association of Certified Accountants and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has been in practice for 35 years. Having gained her experience in a number of general accountancy practices in and around the Midlands, she moved North and opened a dedicated auditing practice in Leeds in 2001, auditing varying types of SME clients. She merged this practice with Mark’s in 2005 and they, in turn, merged with Farrar Smith in 2008. She is still acting as accountant and auditor for a number of her original clients along with many new ones.
Julie’s ethos is that an accountant is not just for the year end but is there to form a relationship with the client and, therefore, become an important asset to them throughout the year. Offering a support service, providing advice or just to be someone who is outside of the day to day business and is available to discuss concerns and ideas that a client may have.
Chris Lydon

Chris is a Chartered Accountant and has been with the practice for over twenty years. He qualified in 2001 and is a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
He has a simple philosophy on business – look after your client, provide value for money and always be prepared to go the extra mile. Chris is responsible for a varied portfolio of clients from sole traders and partnerships to small and medium sized companies.
When not working or spending time with family he is a keen supporter of Leeds United Football Club.
